Plan For Week 9

Day 1

In Class: Go over exam sheet.
At Home: Review: Re-watch magnetism videos and do worksheets.

Day 2

In Class: Investigation #2 (and possibly #3)
At Home: Finish parts of the investigation left over in class.

Day 3

In Class: Investigation #4 (and possibly #3 if we didn't finish last class)
At Home: Finish parts of the investigation left over in class.

Week 8: Day 3

Today I revised for the exam. The worksheets were easier to understand now that I spent so much time reviewing last lesson. I memorized the scale measurements already, and I got the cirucits page done. I also did some of the worksheets again since they help with understanding circuits for the test.

At home I finished the worksheet, but I didn't feel as if I understood the things well enough, so I went over the workshetes again as well as the previous tests. By the time I finished, which was a few hours later, I was pretty confident.

Week 8: Day 2

Today I revised for the exam. There was a bit of a problem in class with the internet, so by the time I was able to download it from Moodle and print it out quite a lot of time had passed. The revision sheet was harder than I thought it would be; I seemed to have forgot a lot of the stuff.

I was not able to even complete the first page by the time class finished. I was confused over the size and scale measurements and trying to memorize the units and ended up messing it in my head.

By the time I got home I tried again and didn't get much further. I also didn't have much time as my computer exam was tomorrow.

Week 8: Day 1

Today there is no school. There's nothing much to report, but I did check over the project. The project is currently with Moh, and from what I've heard it is done. He did the write-up explaining the diagrams on the poster. I just read over it and checked it.

I also continued the worksheets, but it is getting difficult to do it. Also, exams are coming up and there is hardly any time to do homework in the midst of all the studying.

Plan for Week 8

Day 1

(No school) Do what is left of the project (it should have been finished, but for some difficulties my group mates were not able to)

Day 2

In Class: Revise for exam.
At Home: Revise for exam.

Day 3

In Class: Revise for exam.
At Home: Revise for exam.

Week 7: Day 3

Today Moh and I went to the lab. We did Investigation 1: Who said Pickle? We hoped to finish this and do more, but unfortunately we got hold up for some reason or another.

The first part was easy enough, but when the "super magnet" got involved it was kind of crazy. It made me wonder what makes some magnets stronger than others. We did not have a pickle, but apart from that we did okay. One place we got held up at is using the super magnet near the dollar bill. We didn't have a dollar bill, so we used rupees instead. However, there was no interaction there. It left us stumped until I got the dollar bill and tried it there. The dollar bill may have magnetic ink, because there is noticeable repelling going on. Some things that I thought can never be magnetic surprised me.

At home I finished sorting out the data, wrote the blog for this week, and did a bit of the worksheets.

Week 7: Day 2

Today I discovered my group mates didn't exactly finish the poster, which was disappointing. I spent a few minutes sorting out things they needed to do later and continued with my work.

I watched the video Magnetism 12, but I still do not understand most of what they are saying. The only thing I kind of get is the Right Hand Rule. All the equations leave me mystified even after watching it again; when watching it halfway through my third time I only knew that we won't have to know all this and we can more or less skip it.

I continued doing the worksheets for the rest of class, as well as at home. The water analogy is very helpful, as well as the links on the worksheets. Electric Currents and Electric Circuits is done.

Week 7: Day 1

Today is still winter break, and not a lot can be done due to limited internet access- I only had enough time to print the worksheets off. I attempted the worksheets last class (I did them on a separate piece of paper then), and now I continued all of them.

Some were fairly easy, such as the Ohm's Law ones. Others had some easy questions and some hard ones, like the parallel circuits sheet. One that is definitely done is Magnetism #1; I don't think there's anything to really do that challenges.

Plan for Week 7

This week there is only two science classes since Monday is still winter break.

Day 1

Do the worksheets as well as possible without needing to ask questions.

Day 2

In Class: Re-watch Magnetism video #2 (Did not understand the first time) and ask questions. Continue worksheets.
At Home: Continue worksheets.

Day 3

In Class: Do investigation #1: Who said Pickle?
At Home: Complete any left over questions from the investigation, and continue worksheets.

Week 6: Day 3

Today I wasn't in class and didn't have internet access, but later I made up for it by finishing all the videos. I also attempted all the worksheets, but I am not sure of some of them.

One thing I find very interesting is charge in electrostatics. I always imagined that there is something that makes a positive charge positive and a negative charge negative. I didn't realize that it, as the person says, can be called anything else (like "blue charge").

I knew roughly half of what was in that video, but Coulomb is new.

I looked at the Sound Waves and Beats lab report again but decided that it will have to hold off until school starts again so I can go see how exactly I can change it. Apart from this, there was nothing else to really report.

Week 6: Day 2

Today I handed over the project to my group members to check if there is anything they want to add, remove, or modify. They looked over it and made some changes to the circuit diagram. I helped and made some suggestions.

Then later in class (Since there are some questions I need to ask) I needed to go over the Sound Waves and Beats lab report.

I did not have time to do the project at home, but I handed it to my group members to finish it. Later to make up for it I did the worksheets Circuits practice problems 1 and 2 again since last time there were errors and misunderstandings. Those were cleared after a few questions I asked in class.
